This week in Fedora (2019w05)
Last week, I've pushed a multitude of various packages to both the official fedora repositories, and my COPR repositories. They include fixes for elementary desktop applications (Photos and Files) and components (Wingpanel indicators and Switchboard plugs). There were also some updates for "made for elementary" applications, and miscellaneous python and golang package updates.
With the Mass Rebuild for fedora 30 in progress right now, I guess that next week will be mainly spent on fixing the expected fallout from that.
TODO updates
The issues preventing me from building new versions of Files on fedora have been resolved with the latest version.

elementary packages
New versions of both Photos and Files were released upstream, and both are on their way to the fedora repositories. The latest version of Photos brings updated translations. Version 4.1.4 of Files finally fixes the build issues that blocked me from updating the package past version 4.0, and also inludes a multitude of other bug fixes and improvements.

Both the Network and Power indicators for Wingpanel had new releases tagged, and updated packages are already available. The Network indicator includes changes that allow building it with the upcoming 0.44 release of the Vala compiler, the Power indicator has improved performance, and both feature updated translations.

The Applications plug for Switchboard brings improved searchability and updated translations, as well.

I've also updated the snapshot of the gala window manager to a newer build, which brings support for flashing the appropriate screen area when taking a screenshot.

The latest release of the notejot note-taking application brings support for saving and restoring the size of resized notes.

I updated the jsonschema python package to the latest beta preview of the upcoming 3.0.0 release in fedora rawhide.

golang packages
The github.com/thejerf/suture golang packages also had new upstream releases available. They improve some behavior to be more consistent around the supervision and stopping of services. Updated packages are on their way to all current releases of fedora.
